We are the government SPEACK OUT!!!!

...Do not forget United States Citizens, have a God given right to keep and bear arms/guns. And the government Can Not make any Laws to infringe this, our 2nd amendment right . The THING MUST BE DONE is for ALL OF US to hold this true. We are the GOVERNMENT! If we stand together no matter what some criminal may do in Washington, OUR GOD given rights can not be revoked. WE MUST SPEAK OUT! WE MUST PROTEST! WE MUST WRITE LETTERS TO ALL ELECTED OFFICIALS!
What is going on right now in this country has happened before in history! People just sat by and let it. Please Write your reps. Write your congress men. Make phone calls Be heard! Start petitions. Just plastering it on the Internet does so little.
An in the time it took you to come on face book or  this blog you could have wrote a letter and sent it.
It may seem like a small thing to lose but once We The People have lost the ability to protect ourselves and what we believe in ,WE WILL start seeing our rights disappear....
Again I say "Somewhere this great land of ours went of the main road. We stopped being a group that is governed by the people for the people".
We have begun to believe that the Government is some big thing we have little control over.
Our Constitution is not broken, Our Government is (that is to say We as a hole have let it get out of control). We will never fix it so long as we stand divided! United We Stand!! There is Power in large numbers and the corrupted politicians know this and fear it. They want to keep Us the people divided. They the corrupted politicians want us to be fighting amongst ourselves.
Always remember tolerance is a two-way street. We need to have the same tolerance and respect for others that we want from them. You do not have to agree with others in order to respect them or there rights"

Doctor, I have a serious problem

A worried woman went to her gynecologist and said: 'Doctor, I have a serious problem and desperately need your help! My baby is not even 1 year old and I'm pregnant again. I don't want kids so close together. So th e doctor said: 'Ok and what do you want me to do?' She said: 'I want you to end my pregnancy, and I'm counting on your help with this.' The doctor
thought for a little, and after some silence he said to the lady: 'I think I have a better solution for your problem. It's less dangerous for you too.' She smiled, thinking that the doctor was going to accept her request. Then he continued: 'You see, in order for you not to have to take care 2 babies at the same time, let's kill the one in your arms. This way, you could rest some before the other one is born. If we're going to kill one of them, it doesn't matter which one it is. There would be no risk for your body if you chose the one in your arms. The lady was horrified and said: 'No doctor! How terrible! It's a crime to kill a child! 'I agree', the doctor replied. 'But you seemed to be OK with it, so I thought maybe that was the best solution.' The doctor smiled, realizing that he had made his point. He convinced the mom that there is no difference in killing a child that's already been born and one that's still in the womb. The crime is the same!

About Guns – Debunking the Myths

Letter from Mr. Conservative: The Truth About Guns – Debunking the Myths

Debunking Every Gun Myth – A Look at Gun Facts

2.5 Million times every year, or about 6,850 times per day, Law Abiding Citizens use guns to defend themselves against criminals.
Statistically, 80 times more often guns are used to protect the lives of honest people, rather than to take innocent life.
Concealed carry laws have reduced murder rates by 8.5% in states that have enacted them. This means, that in states where Politicians vote against concealed carry laws, they are responsible for 8.5% of murders.
According to the Bureau of Justice Statistics & National Crime Victims Survey:
  • 550 Rapes and 1,100 Murders are prevented EVERY DAY just by SHOWING a gun.
  • According to the National Institute of Justice there are approximately 2 million defensive gun uses per year by law abiding citizens.
Connecticut ALREADY HAD an Assault Weapons Ban, so how could implementing a National Ban have prevented the Sandy Hook tragedy?
Some argue “Accidents with firearms kill kids, so we must have gun control laws” so we looked at All Accidental Deaths between 1999 and 2006:
  • There were 60,684 accidental deaths in total. Unintentional firearm deaths were 980 of these.
  • 8 times more people drowned to death and 36 times more people died in car accidents. — Ask yourself if more people died accidentally from firearms or if more peoples lives were saved due to responsible gun ownership?
According to the FBI:
  • In 2011 323 people were killed using “Assault Weapons”
  • In the same year 496 people were killed using hammers.
Guns may kill people, but evil does not exist within the mind of a gun, it exists within the hearts and minds of those who pull the trigger with evil purposes.
According to the FBI:
  • 99.9% of all guns in America are not used in violent crimes.
  • 99.8% of all guns are not used in crime at all.
  • Only 1% of the time when a gun is being used in defense, does the criminal take the gun from the defender.
  • Only 4% of guns used in crimes were obtained legally.
As such, if a gun ban is implemented, it could not, and will not stop these purchases, if we banned guns entirely, we could only hope to reduce crime using guns 4% in theory. In reality we would completely disarm law abiding citizens and leave them completely defenseless to criminals.
90% of crimes using guns occur in gun free zones.
We looked at over 100 different mass shootings that we found in various media reports, we found that the average number of people killed in mass shootings when stopped by police was 14.29, the average number of people killed when stopped by a civilian was 2.33
In 1976 Washington D.C. passed a major gun control law banning people from owning guns in their homes.
  • After this the murder rate in D.C. went up 134%
  • The murder rate across the nation went down 2%.
  • It’s safe to assume criminals in D.C. didn’t turn in their guns.
  • The D.C. Gun Ban was later overturned by the Supreme Court as unconstitutional.
If you lived in a gun free zone, or you live somewhere where guns are banned, thus becoming a gun free zone, when someone breaks into your house, what do you think the result is?
Objectively, you will be handing over the responsibility of your and your families protection over to the government. So, you’ll call the police. The average response time for law enforcement to reach your house is 23 minutes across the United States. If someone breaks into your house, to hurt you and your family, what will realistically happen to you during those 23 minutes?
A question to ask yourself:
  • Is your life worth protecting?
  • THEN: If it is, then why don’t you deserve the right to own a gun to protect your life with?
  • SO, THEN: Why would you trust someone else(a government employee) to own a gun to protect you, and not yourself?
Is Gun Control about reducing violence, or is it about – Control?
Under American occupation, every Iraqi family was allowed to keep a fully automatic firearm for protection. In America, fully automatics are already illegal, the government wants to ban semi-automatic firearms, which they define as “Assault Weapons” because they have “military characteristics”. Doesn’t that mean the government trusted Iraqi’s more than Americans to responsibly own firearms?
If guns cause violence, then in places where there are more guns, there should be more violence.
  • In Switzerland, 1 out of every 2 citizens owns a gun, guns are carried in public freely.
  • Switzerland has the lowest crime rate in the world.
Many think Conservatives are crazy for wanting to own a gun to defend against “government tyranny”. Some people believe that despite the above data, the right of gun owners to own guns needs to be matched with reasonable gun control and that the 2nd Amendment provides protections for hunters, that these guns are not for hunting.
Furthermore, others say that the 2nd Amendment was only for single shot muskets, and did not apply to any other guns.
The question is, are gun owners right in thinking that they need guns to defend against government tyranny?
Do citizens have a right to own guns that are of comparable combat utility as military guns?
An in depth analysis of the 2nd Amendment leads me to the following conclusions:
  1. There is no mention of hunting or target practice. Hunting was the equivalent of going to the supermarket, families hunted. Furthermore, back then there was no such thing as “shooting ranges”, lead used for musket balls was scarce and couldn’t be wasted.
  2. There is direct mention of a well regulated militia. There are also plenty of quotes about protection from tyranny, specifically government tyranny by the men who wrote The Constitution.
  3. The 2nd Amendment definitively can be read to define that citizens have a right to own “Light Infantry” weapons. That means they can own guns comparable to military light infantry. The Founders wrote the constititution, let them speak for themselves…
“I ask, Sir, what is the militia? It is the whole people. To disarm the people is the best and most effectual way to enslave them.” – George Mason
“And that the said Constitution be never construed to authorize Congress to infringe the just liberty of the Press, or the rights of Conscience; or to prevent the people of the United States, who are peaceable citizens, from keeping their own arms; …” Samuel Adams
“Firearms stand next in importance to the constitution itself. They are the American people’s liberty teeth and keystone under independence … from the hour the Pilgrims landed to the present day, events, occurences and tendencies prove that to ensure peace security and happiness, the rifle and pistol are equally indispensable … the very atmosphere of firearms anywhere restrains evil interference — they deserve a place of honor with all that’s good.” – George Washington
“The best we can help for concerning the people at large is that they be properly armed.” – Alexander Hamilton
“The greatest danger to American freedom is a government that ignores the Constitution.” – Thomas Jefferson
“They that give up essential liberty to obtain a little temporary safety deserve neither liberty nor safety.” – Ben Franklin
Some argue in turn that this is from an outdated time, and that the threat of government killing their citizens is a threat that we no longer have to live with. They say that the constitution is out dated. Again, we turn to the evidence…
Political scientist R.J. Rummel looked at over 8,000 reports of government caused deaths in the 20th century and found that 262 million people were killed by their governments, only one sixth this amount were killed in war between nations.
Recently a White House white paper was leaked to the press which said that if an American citizen becomes a terrorist even if there is no proven intelligence he is planning an attack against the United States it is “legal, ethical, and wise” to use a drone strike against him instead of risking the lives of Americans to capture him, essentially depriving a citizen of their right to trial by jury.
The U.S. government has assigned to itself, the right to kill its own citizens, in violation of the constitution which was designed as law for it’s own self-restraint.
So, are Conservatives right to want to have the ability to defend themselves against government?
Obama: “If there’s one life we can save, we’ve got an obligation to try.”
If we want to save lives, we should look at the facts, and the facts say what they say, as documented above. Share this article, so that we don’t lose the 2nd Amendment due to media hype.

Our Constitution is not broken

I see a big difference in people that I know. Now I know Those that believe in Christ from many different nomination..I know museums, buddhist as well as many other religions.I know Demarcates, Republicans, gay & lesbians... I know a lot of different kinds of people. I get along with them...We come together because of a common bound to help others and help each other with our disease. A common bond brought us together but that bound and any similarity's we have is not what makes us strong. The strength we have comes out of are differences! I believe that our whole country could learn a lot from the people in 12 step programs. What we need in this country these days is patience love and tolerance. There is no need to fix the foundation of this country. What needs to be fix is the way its people look at each other. Look for the Good in your neighbor not the bad. Just because He/She likes or dislikes something is not cause to try to change him/Her or hate him/her. Somewhere this great land of ours went of the main road. We stopped being a group that is governed by the people for the people. Our Constitution is not broken, Our Government is. Why is Obuma and his cronies wrong about Gun control. Here it is The facts & figures.Government’s own official records

Good morning all! It’s time again to be “bad Americans” by choosing to be the new radical counter-culturists, do the politically incorrect things, and question people who call themselves our government.

This is a long and detailed post with sources provided at the end. Please feel free to copy it or use it in your debates!

For all the moaners and groaners out there loyally goose-stepping after Herr Obama I took the liberty of providing factual and documented sources from the Centers of Disease Control and the Bureau of Justice Statistics. (In other words, the government’s own official records are providing the information.) With all the intentionally biased misinformation being generated by Mr. Obama, the Democrats, anti-gun advocates, and the mainstream media’s inability to truthfully inform the public regarding Americans liberties and rights under the 2nd Amendment I decided to examine some of the government’s own claims.

In 2010 the Centers for Disease Control and Department of Justice Bureau of Justice Statistics reported that there were 31,672 deaths in the United States related to firearms. That many deaths are bad enough, so the next question would obviously be: How did the CDC and DOJ reach their conclusions and what were the categories used to determine their findings?

The CDC based the report on the following five categories: 1. Suicide, 2. Gang/Crime-related, 3. Justified Homicide (either by Law Enforcement or Citizens using firearms in self- defense), 4. Accidental Discharges, and 5. Unknown/Non-Specified firearms related deaths.

This is where the statistics, numbers, and percentages become very interesting.

Category 1: Suicide had 19,392 deaths accounting for 61.2%.
Category 2: Gang/Criminal-related had 8,880 deaths accounting for 28%
Category 3: Justifiable Homicide (Law Enforcement or Citizens) had 544 deaths accounting for 1.7%
Category 4: Accidental Discharges had 851 deaths accounting for 2.6%
Category 5: Not Specified by the CDC or DOJ had 2005 deaths accounting for 6%

These statistical records and facts from the CDC and Dept. of Justice BJS account for 99.5% of all firearm related deaths in the United States in the year 2010.

Anyone with even a small amount of common sense can already deduce that 89.2% of all deaths related to firearms (28,272) were either self-inflicted or caused by criminals.

What is Mr. Obama and the Democrats only proposed solution to remedy the obvious problem posed by mental health and crime? Ban and deny access or ownership of all “assault weapons” to American citizens who have no mental health issues and have committed no crimes.

It is estimated that there are over 80,000,000 legal, law abiding, and responsible firearms owners currently in the United States. These Americans are exercising their liberties guaranteed by the U.S. Constitution under the 2nd Amendment. Please note that I did not use the word “freedom” because freedom is never free. I used the word “liberty” because it implies responsibility, discipline, duty, and personal accountability which are virtues that define a truly free people.

Dividing 28,272 by 80,000,000 we arrive at 0.0003534. This means that Mr. Obama, Diane Feinstein, Charles Schumer, and the Democrats are deciding to base their policies and laws on 0.0004% of something occurring. Going in the opposite direction and dividing 80,000,000 by 28,272 we arrive at 2829.7- to-1. In both cases the proposed solution does not focus on fixing the problem related to the minority, but taking away the liberties of the majority.

The next question would logically be: Where and how did the individuals and criminals obtain their weapons?

While there is no record of where the individuals who committed suicide purchased or obtained their firearms, there are records that give clear indication and evidence as to where the majority of criminals obtain their firearms.

According to a 2002 report from the U.S. Dept. of Justice, Office of Justice Programs, the following statistics were released describing how felons obtained firearms:

39% were obtained from family or friends who gave or lent them.
33% were obtained from theft, drug dealers, black market, and illegal sales.
22% were obtained through legitimate purchases such as stores, pawn shops, or gun shows.
6% were obtained through other not specified means.

It is very easy to see that roughly 72% of the problem is related not to the firearms, but irresponsible gun ownership and criminal activity. This is where the majority of time, energy, and resources need to be directed-not a gun ban that targets Americans who have broken no laws. The 22% of the remaining 28% can be effectively dealt with as there are already existing firearms laws that specifically deal with this issues that have not been enforced.

Additionally the DOJ OJP reported statistics of the various types of weapons that criminals used in the commission of their crimes.
Handguns were used in the commission of 83% of crimes.
Shotguns were used in the commission of 10% of crimes.
Rifles were used in the commission of 7% of crimes.

(It is important to note here that military style rifles were used in less than 8% of all crimes committed with rifles. This means that 92% of all rifle crimes do not involve military “assault weapons” but standard civilian market weapons.)

The hypocrisy of Mr. Obama, Diana Feinstein, Chuck Schumer, and the Democratic Party is obvious. They are deliberately and intentionally choosing to ignore 99% of what is actually causing the crime in order to focus on a minor percentage of the smallest percent.

What have we learned from this?

First, we have learned that the majority of the deaths from firearms are not coming from law abiding Americans who own “assault rifles” and are within their legal rights under the 2nd Amendment as Mr. Obama, the Democratic Party, the media, and anti-gun advocates try to insinuate with their agenda. The facts show that rifles are used in only about 7% of ALL crimes (and of all firearms crimes committed with rifles only 8% are committed with military style weapons.)

Second, the majority of deaths relate to suicide (mental health) and criminal activity 89.2% (that has not being properly addressed of crimes punished). Even so, the evidence clearly demonstrates that the overwhelming majority of the problem is not being generated or caused by law abiding American citizens who own firearms.

Third, the fact that 39% of convicted criminals obtained their weapons from friends or relatives indicates that a number of people are in fact being irresponsible gun owners. However, the statistical fact remains that the criminal culture represents a considerably smaller minority in proportion to the much larger legal and law abiding gun owners. Additionally, statistics still clearly demonstrate that roughly 33% of criminals obtain their firearms through illegal methods or means. Punishing Americans who have broken no laws for the unlawful actions of a criminal minority who break laws is illogical, irrational, and irresponsible.

Sadly, I am out of time, but I hope this provides some food for thought!

Semper Fi, and God Bless America!
